The norwegian tech-company was recently featured in the American prestige magazine Fortune. That was an eye opener for both Norwegian and foreign investors. Globus AI was founded by four entrepreneurs from technological environments in Stavanger, Oslo and Russia - with experience from Telenor, Equinor and Capgemini.

Globus AI developed from a vision to improve people's quality of life. Not very common for a startup company. Most startups have a clear product idea, but for us, it all began with a vision. We discovered a great potential in improving patient care, especially within staffing and planning. The idea was to get the right people at the right place on the right time, to assist patients. We want to make an impact in this area, says Helge Bjorland, CEO and co founder of Globus AI.

Rapid increase in stab - now looking for senior developers

The company, that was founded in 2017, will soon reach 40 employees. This month Globus AI announced several new available positions within the most advanced development areas in the IT industry.

We look forward to hiring additional talented employees. Our advantage as an employer is that we work with products that people are excited to work with, and that we are developing a work environment where empowerment, advancement and coaching of our employees are essential. It isn´t just our products that are human-centered. That goes for our employee commitment and cultural philosophy too, Bjorland concludes.

The combination of the high energy and drive of a successful startup, and the commitment to its people and culture are attractive assets for conscious and ambitious talents. Globus AI are currently searching especially for candidates with several years of experience within software development that are in search of a work environment where they will be challenged to think innovatively, as well as grow professionally and socially.

We are looking for a proficient Senior Data engineer and a Senior Backend Developer, for example. Especially those who have excellent knowledge of Phyton, C+, .NET Core, Spark and Azure. In addition, we are looking for a Parsing Team lead and a Azure infrastructure and DevOps engineer. We are building an exciting high-quality environment in our office in Stavanger, says Ivan Metrikin, CTO and co-founder of Globus AI.

Since Globus AI is rapidly growing, a need for building new teams will appear, which is why we are looking for employees who are searching for, and have a potential to gradually assume leadership roles.

We are looking for candidates who are not afraid of acquiring responsibility and leadership and assuming ownership of what they do, states Bjorland.

Growing globally

Our vision is to become market leaders in this new area of AI-driven hiring and employing.

Globus AI has grown fast and are now involving a lot more people. It is exciting to see how our culture and vision grow, how the company exceed us - the founders. We are also entering another phase of the startup. The first phase was all about developing a surviving product in the marketplace.  You are in the scaling phase when you know you have a product your customers are willing to pay for. We are now facing brand new challenges, which makes it all even more interesting and exciting, says Bjorland.

It is all about making the workday easier and better for the people who work with us, and most importantly, automate today's manual staffing processes. We aim for a solution where as little as possible depend on human interactions, so that people can spend their time doing what they do best - interact with consultants, follow up in person, engage with the customers. It will provide more personalized opportunities and chores for the consultants, says Bjorland.

The Globus AI-solution creates new value of existing data. With advanced calculations, empathic, artificial intelligence will figure out who the right person for the right job is at all times. The system is advanced, but the user experience is easy.

The system is already used by several health institutions and Sweden's largest recruiting company. The company is now targeting a larger part of the labor market, and is specifically targeting international players.

Recruitment challenges does not only apply for healthcare. Several industries are major consumers of added staff for rotation and temporary positions. The solution is developed for everyone who is responsible for recruiting, whether they are in a large organisation or in a recruitment company, a county or in a hospital. The right staffing is a critical factor throughout every workforce. The use of great systems creates a targeted, good flow throughout the staffing process, says Bjorland.

Developed contingency product during Covid 19

During the Covid-19-epidemic, the Norwegian technology company developed its staffing product for the public- and private health sector even further. It helps getting the right personnel for the important tasks as fast as possible. The artificial intelligence (AI) of the technology provides an effective link between health professionals and shifts to be covered.

From a staffing point of view, the question is how to best deal with a crisis like this. What do you do when you suddenly lose 40 percent of your workforce, either due to virus infection, self-isolation or quarantine? Even if this is more prominent in the healthcare system, the same thing could happen in all industries. We all need to find a solution and get through it. Globus AI´s USP is a system who can handle these types of situations and ensure that you effectively mobilize for the right tasks and roles. In the right place, at the right time, ”says Bjorland.

Sweden's largest healthcare recruitment company are already using this solution and maneuver an average of 5 000 shifts every week.

Dedicare are using Globus AI for the whole recruitment process. This means interpreting all incoming requests and presenting requests to the recruitment consultant in an educational and orderly manner. Employees acquire shifts from the system which they electronically confirm. Accepted shifts are sent electronically to the customer, who in turn accepts the shifts a temp can work. We then relate the request with an order, which is transferred via API to our CRM solution. To conclude that this saves lives is a bit far-fetched, but this system has helped us secure hospital needs faster, for sure! Says Mattis Kjellin at Dedicare.

Immediate user value

Together with Sola county, amongst others, Globus have adapted their product for the healthcare sector. The solution communicates with their existing programs, like Gat and Ressursstyring, and therefore creates immediate value for the users.

  • The solution reduces time and complexity in connecting vacant shifts with the right staff in a new and innovative way. The result is that hospitals, nursing homes, home care and geriatric care saves time as well as secures patience needs and requirement for competence.
  • The solution simplifies the task and shortens the time it takes the health institutions to connect the right person with the right qualifications and skills with where the need emerges. At all times, with no delay.
  • It only takes a couple of days to implement the solution in its simplest form, and only one hour of training for the users.
